Boxhill Farm & Nursery

Before its establishment in 1999, Boxhill Farm was a dairy homesteaded in 1908. The cows left it calm and soft, perfect for the plants. It now has a fair amount of permaculture in tree allées, hedges, and perennial gardens, which are home to many types of birds and small animals while also contributing to the nursery. It represents what a complete repurposing can accomplish given a little time.

Duvall is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Duvall follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building.
